I know that I already posted this question, but I didn't realize that once you pick a best answer, it closes it to get answers...I wanted to see whatelse I could find out

I know how you have to go about becoming a tattoo artist, but my problem is that I have to be able to survive on my own in the process. I really, really want to become a tattoo artist and I think that I have the talent to do it! I love everything about the industry, I have tattoos and piercings, I have get along well with people already in the industry... Mainly, I am afraid that if I become an apprentice, I will have to leave my full time job, with great benefits, and get a really, really bad paying part time job and not be able to pay my bills. Does anyone have some answers or words of advice that would help me in my quest?

I just posted a question similar to yours~ I'm curious to see what people say. I'm basically on the same boat as you only I'm in California. People have told me that I'm good enough to do tattoos but i don't know where to start. Right now I just do drawings for part time ~ friends ask me to draw stuff as gifts or cards.
