@jessethegman The DVDs available on the Tattoo website edintattoo.co.uk are for the full 90 minute show.
We were there on the night of the 26th. We had a wonderful time, and hope to return next year. I want to buy the DVD, but only if it is longer than the 58 minute version that was aired on BBC, Does anyone know? I’m on Face book.
Thanks,
Gman

@tenchinatent I have been to the tattoo 5 times, and on the last occasion froze my arse off and that was in August. In real life you do not have mikes picking up all the sound, you do not also see everything on telly. Nothing is perfect but at least when you go to the tattoo you get the experience, and sound does not travel at lightspeed.
Very good quality, sound is excellent! I always look-out for the bass drummer of The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards; only white bearskin in the British Army!
@British123man
Was broadcast in Scotland last Sunday, and rest of UK on Monday.
On BBC iplayer at moment.
I need to know when he royal Edinburgh tattoo is on tv this year email me at c_griffin@hotmail.co.uk plz
guys, 6:07 onwards what tune is this?
@tenchinatent
Don’t understand wat you mean… on BBC they broadcast only 0ne hour of the whole show.
And for that ammount of money you had indead the best seats. We go every year and still enjpying it very much.
Maybe you’re hard to satisfy…….
very clear video, thanks for sharing… I missed this cos I would be in UK only on 4th September and planning to visit Scotland too. What a miss!!! So sad! Did not realise about the event when i booked my ticket!
Bravo, la France devrait prendre exemple sur cette magnifique démonstration. Je ne me lasse pas de regardez et de ré-écoutez … Bravo
@tenchinatent
We were in the “cheap” seats, probably just as good, and the sound was fine!
I went on the 19th August 2011. I have wanted to go for as many years as I can remember.
I was very disappointed.
I paid £117 for two tickets & a programme. So called best seats.
Stay at home and watch it on the BBC or even here on YouTube, the sound is much better.
Royal Air Force looks tough as hell =D God I love their colors.
Nice to see the saffron Kilt & green Hackle up there amongst The world`s best Military bands… Faugh A Ballagh !!!
I saw the tattoo last night. Terrible rain all day long but during the entire tattoo not a single drop fell from the sky
We were fortunate to get tickets. Because of the rain there were a few cancellations, otherwise it was all sold out
Very impressive show, and a really exciting experience.
Amazing!I was in Edinburgh last week but I did not find any ticket for military tattoo:( must wait next summer!
@trex1434
